How about God created us to get along with one another and love another and care for one another. Had God created religion there would only be ONE religion SO all these religions are man made, the stories are man made. Let's try are best to get along with one another.

i support the idea for the existence of superior beings living in other places.
it means to me that we, humans, are not the superior ones in the universe.

What was your ''the last straw that broke the camels back'' moment
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthere is a limit to how much straw (long yellow grass) a camel can carry on its back.
if you keep putting more straw on top, it will finally break the camel's back.
when you are at the last straw you are finally angry and will not take any more.. my moment (to stop attending all watchtower meetings) was after the harsh treatment from the elders and fellow congregation members of my second cousin who was disfellowhipped as a teenager.

We talked on the phone for 5 years 4 or 5 times a day. I will add he called me, i never called him. As I traveled through his state about once every three months we would get together for a long day together. I will add we never really discussed his religion because I had made it very clear in the beginning that I believe in God but strongly do not believe in religion. Then he gave me the JW book on Families well I read it. I will add that I have always been a very big child's advocate. I mildly made a couple of comments to him about the contents of the book. LOL. He did not tell me the rules about we do not question our beliefs. LOL The mild questions then got a little stronger. Then a started asking about women because oops I am also a woman's advocate. To say the least he was staying calm, I was getting heated because he was avoiding all questions. -

Never a JW, I think these experiences are disgusting. In my finally round of emails with the "Elder" I pointed out that God wanted us to all get along and love one another. My last straw with him was when he sent me 20 days of sermons and Bible verses instead of directly answering all of my questions regarding what had been going on between us for 5 years. So I sent him an email headed Roasted, Toasted, Deep Fried and BBQ next sentence was I will take all emails to one of 3 local KH's and have one of their Elders explain you and your emails to me.

i told them to look it up on you tube.. i gave then the names and congro's the 2 pedo's are in and said i'd come back next week and see if they had checked it out.the lady's body language said she knew the elder that raped his sister as they are a well know family they were in the year book a few years ago.. stand by for next week.. karter.

We have a very large parking lot that serves a 7-11 gas station, a McDonalds and a Big Lots along with several little stores. There was never a day that the JWS were not there handing out literature until one day in front of 3 homeless people who I had just given $5. I asked the gentleman 3 questions regarding raising children then I asked him if he knew it was wrong to tell a lie. Well he peeled rubber out of that lot and there has been no Witnesses there since. -

This is indeed horrible. What the hell is wrong with our judicial system when a young man gets 25 months for burglary and that scumbag got 90 days for child rape. That is simply outrageous. Both of these parents should have been locked up for a very long time for cruelty to children. -

Blatant Lie, or Unwitting Contradiction?
by OneFingerSalute injust a comment here about the idiocy of this mornings wt.. in one paragraph that was yapping about faith and prayer the writers made the statement that faith could be shown by praying for material things, not just spiritual things.
they used the "give us this day our daily bread" quote.. a couple paragraphs later they said prayers are only answered if they were in harmony with god's will.. so i guess it is god's will that my frail very elderly parents are virtually ignored by the congregation they are in.
i guess it is god's will that after over 135 years combined time in duh troof between them they are kicked to the curb, accused of being selfish, unloving and they are laughed at and ridiculed by the eldurrs, the eldurrs families, and sheeple in general because of the frailties of old age.. they (that congregation) will be damned by god for their cruelty..

Nothing wrong about starting a thread about Reese peanut butter cups. Anything chocolate is totally worth talking about. My preference is white chocolate although I will eat any chocolate someone puts in front of me. I believe I have just about 100 recipes of desserts to make using this wonderful ingredient and to my delight my son and grandson shares my passion for this ingredient.
